It’s Thursday again, and it’s SPRING!

Which means now is the time to start all those spring projects.

Patch has found some free DIY workshops to help you. Once all the projects are done how about some ways to have fun or fill your stomach?

Get a Jump on Spring Fix Ups   

  •  Pond Seminar
    • Where/When: Holly Days Nursery, 1201 Horsham Road, Ambler. Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.     
    • Why Go: Get great information on ponds – Free Seminar at noon (“Getting your pond ready”), Informational sessions, Experts to answer your questions, free refreshments and giveaways
    •  Pricing: Free   
  •  DIY Workshops – Interior Painting, Tile: The Right Tools   
    • Where/When: Home Depot, Willow Grove or Warrington. Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.       
    • Why Go:  Learn the basics of interior painting (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.), Find out how to install tile (11 a.m. to noon), or learn what you need to patch, repair, clean, protect, fix, illuminate and update your home (1 p.m. to 2 p.m.)
    • Pricing:  Free   
  • Advice From Experts: Springtime is lawn time
    • Where/When:Gasper, 316 Tanyard Road, Richboro. Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.       
    • Why Go: Get expert advice on how to care for your lawn. Great discounts and information on organic products.
    • Pricing: Free   

Re-Use Your Shoes Fundraiser at Doylestown Comedy Cabaret

Where/When: Atop Poco’s Restaurant, 625 N. Main St., Doylestown. Friday 9 p.m.  

Why Go: Come out and enjoy a laugh or two for charity. Join Re-Use Your Shoes for a night of FUNdraising.

Pricing:  Donation $20 and 50/50 raffle

Beef and Beverage to support Hatboro-Horsham Post Prom  

Where/When: VE Club, 130 Davisville Road, Warminster. Friday 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. 

Why Go: Come out for a fun evening at the VE Club to help raise funds for the Hatboro-Horsham 2011 Post-Prom event. Food, beer, wine, raffle baskets and entertainment by Hi Fidelity. 

Pricing: $40 per person

The Rolling Tones  

Where/When: The Mag Bar, 400 Second Street Pike, Southampton. Saturday 10 p.m.       

Why Go: If you love the Rolling Stones don’t miss this show. The Rolling Tones do a great tribute to the Rolling Stones. Come on out and get your rock on!  

Pricing: $10 cover - * Late night happy hour drink specials  

Flap Jack Fundraiser Breakfast   

Where/When: Applebee’s 1281 Knapp Road, North Wales. Sunday 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Why Go: Enjoy a great breakfast, while supporting Cleaning Angelsa nonprofit cleaning service that helps cancer patients and their families by cleaning their homes during this difficult time.

There will be a raffle for a door prize, which is a FREE house cleaning!

Pricing: $6 per person. Each breakfast consists of pancakes, sausage, and unlimited beverages including coffee, orange juice, soda and tea.
