Check Out the Best “Decked” House in Hatboro-Horsham

You voted and this house was the top local vote-getter in our Deck the House contest.

Who has the best “decked” house in Hatboro-Horsham?

According to users who voted in our annual Deck the House contest, this entry by Jamie Morrow. has the best holiday lights in Hatboro-Horsham.

We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a life-size Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors.

We loved showcasing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. We’re still looking for the one home so spectacularly decorated that it could be the national grand prize winner of our contest.

We’ve chosen 24 finalists from all our entries across the country. From Dec. 18- Dec. 27, vote for your favorite and that person could win $100,000 for his or her local school district.

All you have to do is visit this page to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote. On Dec. 28, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest.

So, now’s your chance to tell us who has the best “decked” house in the country. Let us know by voting for your favorite beginning Dec. 18.

All VERY nice...but where's the Nativity scene? Of course there aren't any. And so-called Christians say there's too much commercialism. IT STARTS AT HOME!

Get real Mary. Not everyone is a Christian. There's no law stipulating you must have a nativity scene when decorating for Christmas.
Mary Toma December 17, 2012 at 11:53 PM
That's right Jared, Not every one is a Christian. So why are they putting "Christmas" decorations out? Of course there's no law...is that the best you got? You OBVIOUSLY missed the POINT!

Hi Mary, This contest was open to everyone in the Hatboro and Horsham area. I don't believe anyone submitted photos of decorations depicting a nativity scene. Perhaps next year you can submit photos of your home's decorations.

Because Christmas Has become about decorations and presents. So non Christians can decorate. U and all the other religious freaks have to deal with the fact that Christmas is NOT about god.

And no that's not the best I got. I didn't realize it was a competition. But if I'm competing with a religious nut than I don't need much to win. We all know religous people hate facts.

Let me just tell u ppl, this is my cousins house 1st of all. 2nd, they do the lights every year, for their mother, who left this world at a very young age 25 years ago this past Saturday, she truly loved the holidays and Xmas light displays was a favorite of hers. 3rdly, they also, for the last 2 years, have been doin toys for tots to help out the less fortunate and have had Santa and mrs Claus come to their house, while we supply cookies and hot chocolate, for the children to come and have a great holiday experience, it is truly a great time, and when we did it the other night it was a very emotional time wit kids who asked for impossible things, like cancer curin and bringin a parent back home who's away in the military. So every1, we do this for the kids and parents out there that love the holidays and we try to help out those who need it, it has nothin to do wit religion or beliefs, it's all about the ppl who need more in life then just things... So, happy holidays every1, hope to see ur votes and support in helpin others, and if not, well then that's ur own porogitive. We're choosing to help those in need. Have a wonderful holiday

how about an address so we can go see this beautiful house?
heather polin December 18, 2012 at 03:37 PM
We go to see this house every year, several times! Not only does my daughter love it but so do we. Thank you for making our Christmas "brighter "every year! I met the owners of the home on Saturday night. What a sweet couple who do so much for our community! Not only did they collect for toys for toys but they gave each child a bag filled with candy, crayons, bowling certificate. Yes, Christmas Is about Jesus’birth and it is great to see people displaying a Nativity seen but its also so important to be good human beings and nice to one another. These people definitely act out their religion. Just because they don't have a nativity scene doesn't mean God isn't in their hearts. If we had more people like the Morrow’s in this world, our world would be a nicer place. Let's not use the patch as something to go back abs forth at each other.

Thank you Heather for all of your wonderful comments! We try every year to make our home a place for people to go to and make memories. Our house is our memory to our Mom, and we get thousands of people every year that come out to see our house. And most of them are people like you who come back year after year to enjoy those special times with their family. So thank you Heather for making it your family tradition to visit out family tradition! Hope you enjoyed yourself this past Saturday. We had a wonderful turn out because of you and your family and many others likes yours. We can't wait to do it again next year and we hope to see you there again!! Again thank you and have a wonderful holiday!! Jamie Morrow

I tried leaving a comment earlier and it didn't post, not sure why. So I will try and remember all I had said....I know it started out like this...Enough of the trash talking, that is not what this is for. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it all. I wish that I could come by and see this house in person. I live in Texas and can only see it in pictures. Yep, I am a family member and have to put in my 2 cents worth. Christ is in Christmas here, as they do it for their Mom, the kids and for everyone to enjoy. They get satisfaction out of seeing childrens faces smile at all the lights and to have Santa and Mrs. Claus come is an extra added bonus. The joy of giving to others. Giving is better than receiving. Giving to the less fortunate families that would not have a Christmas if it were not for programs like Toys For Tots sponsored by The Marine Corps. I know that their Mom Would and Is Definitely Proud of what happens at that house every year. So to all of you that go by and support them, Thank You and Merry Christmas. It means alot to them. Hopefully I will get back home 1 year to experience it all. Don't forget to vote. Love Aunt Dot

I had neglected to say that I have been home sick as a dog today with the flu I guess, even though I had a flu shot, and that comment was in-appropriate. Christs love is everywhere and especially in Hatboro, Pa in seeing the love that pours out from such an elaborate undertaking as that. Terri and God are smiling down on all of you.
