Byberry Road Work to Cause Detour

Aqua will begin replacing a water main on an Upper Moreland section of the roadway, meaning traffic will be rerouted.

Beginning Monday, folks traveling on Byberry Road out of the borough may want to find another route as Aqua Pennsylvania crews are expected to begin a water main replacement.

Work similar to the still being completed on York Road in Hatboro will be carried out on a section of Byberry Road in Upper Moreland Township from Fitch Road to Myer Lane.

While construction is ongoing, drivers will be detoured to Davisville, County Line and Warminster roads, according to a letter Aqua sent to local elected officials. Crews are expected to work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

When the detour is not in effect, the road will be open to all traffic. However, while the detour is in effect, only local residents, local services and emergency services personnel will be granted access to the area.
