5 Things: March 3

You don't need to go into the city to catch a great production.

1. The production of “Bye Bye Birdie” is opening tonight at 7:30. Come watch the students put on the classic production of a small town girl and a superstar visiting before he goes to war. We love you, Conrad!

2. If your child wants to be a star then check out Young Stars Theater Company. You little star will be involved in productions, participate in workshops to hone in on his or her acting chops, and be around others who share the same interests.

3. Act II Playhouse is a local theatre where you can see great productions without going to New York and purchasing expensive Broadway tickets. Come see the first American production of “Pride of Parnell Street” on March 22nd or any other plays in the 2010-2011 season.

4. If you love the theatre and want to be in the know about all things that have to do with Broadway, or want discounts on tickets to all the new shows opening up, then join the Playbill Club on Playbill.com.

 5. Weather: Today will be cooler with a high of 37. The cool, sunny weather will be perfect for a tweed newsboy hat instead of a knit cap.
