5 Things: Feb. 16

Here in Horsham are some activities for men and women alike.

1. Are you in the mood for making new friends while learning to cook Mediterranean cuisine? Taught by the acclaimed Chef Karen McGinn, the Friends of Horsham Library event at promises a night of good food with good people. Cost is $45 per person and the fun begins at 6:45 p.m. tonight.

2. If you still want to come to the library, but cooking is not your thing, then come to the for Slipped Stitchers Knitting Club. Come and bring your knitting projects; meet some people with similar interests; and get your knitting projects done - or at least started - tonight at 7 p.m.

3. Don’t worry men; I have an activity for you! Horsham Fire Company is holding training for volunteers. Come to the fire station at 7 p.m. and learn skills for fire fighting, EMS, or other public safety procedures to keep your town safe. Click here for information on how to join the .

4. Weather: Today is going to start to warm up with a high of 49. Break out the light leather jacket, and put some extra attention to your hair because you won’t be hiding it under a hat today.
