Need to save a little money?

1. As kids are going back to school and you try to figure in that last-minute Labor Day vacation, try these extra helpful tips to save some green.

2. Shopping at thrift stores is a great way to find cool and unique things for back to school or fall work. Shop any one of several thrift and consignment shops in Hatboro's downtown, including  for some unique buys that might be too expensive in a department store.

3. Money is always something that everyone talks about, but very few people know how to manage or make it grow. CNN has Money 101 lessons online to help you manage and possibly expand.

4. Consider saving some dough by staying in and cooking, instead of eating out. With help from the Food Network, you can make meals that don’t include Chilean sea bass or filet mignon. All-American comfort food at an affordable price is great for your family and your budget.

5. While the beach is great for a day trip, it can become costly. The Hatboro and Horsham community has great parks for your enjoyment for a quick and affordable day-trip. Go to for history, hiking, and an all-around good time, or consider the dog park at to give your pooch some exercise.
