BENJAMIN FOODS RANKS NO. 1679 ON THE 2013 INC. 500|5000 LIST

Inc. magazine has ranked Benjamin Foods NO. 1679 on its seventh annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Benjamin Foods joins LivingSocial, Edible Arrangements, CDW and Lifelock, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list. “This honor speaks volumes about the strength and perseverance of this company over the last few years - even during tough economic times.” said Howard Klayman, President and CEO of Benjamin Foods. In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2013 Inc. 500|5000 companies is an impressive 142 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created over 520,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $241 billion. Benjamin Foods also ranked on the list at #36 of the Top 100 Food and Beverage companies; #41 of the Top 100 Pennsylvania companies; and #32 overall in the Philadelphia Metro area. "Not all the companies in the Inc. 500 | 5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do. They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy,” says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg. Founded in 2006, Benjamin Foods has quickly grown from its origins in institutional food service to a highly respected broadline supplier of canned and dry goods, frozen foods, meats, seafood, cheeses, produce, and non-foods including equipment and supplies. In addition, a Cash & Carry store located at the company’s state-of-the-art Hatboro, PA headquarters provides local foodservice operators and the public with quality, brand name food and restaurant supplies.
