We're Number 9! PA Has Growth Potential, Report Says

Business Facility Magazine says state's natural gas operations could lead to economic development.

Pennsylvania is among the top 10 states for “economic growth potential,” according to a new report from Business Facilities Magazine

The magazine’s annual state rankings put Pennsylvania at number nine on the list, along with North Dakota (number one),  Ohio (7) and Alabama (10).

“We expect the economic benefits from natural gas fracking operations in the Marcellus Shale formation to start paying dividends in PA and OH in terms of spurring economic development in both states,” the report says.

The story also ranked Pennsylvania as number six on a list of natural gas producers, and number two on the list of nuclear energy leaders.
