Village Pretzels Shows Off New Look, Eats

Chicago-style hot dogs are now under the same bun as Village Pretzels' classic offering of Berks hot dogs. Soft serve ice cream decked out with up to three swirled-in flavors is being dished up along with hand-dipped ice cream and water ice.

"We haven't changed anything that's been here for the past 40 years," Village Pretzels manager Eddie Park told Patch during a recent visit.

But, the business, which changed hands several months ago is certainly expanding upon its traditional fare. The newest Chicago-inspired menu item to hit the Hatboro eatery are roast beef au jus sandwiches, according to Park.

In the works are seafood platters, as well as chicken, fish and crab cake combos.

A long-time hub of acoustic music, Park said new speakers have been installed recently, inside and out, to pipe music throughout the indoor and outdoor seating areas.
