Description: This space is situated in the heart of Hatboro's downtown shopping and dining district.

Size: 2,200 square feet

Zoning: C (Permitted uses include retail, office, apartments and multi-use development)

History: Salon on Main had run its hair salon from this location for about eight years until this spring to the other end of Hatboro. Hatboro Camera Shop had run its business at this location for 30 years prior to that, according to Hatboro Main Street Manager Stephen Barth.

The Challenge: In highlighting its large front windows for "great merchandising opportunities," Barth notes mostly pluses - with the exception of York Road parking - for the single-story building. "Some prospects are looking for lots in front of their stores versus private parking behind their store," he said.

Potential: "This is a very attractive central Hatboro location ideal for any type of retail shop, from clothing and gifts to specialties, a frozen yogurt store or restaurant," Barth said. "This is one of the best locations in the Borough and I am surprised this gem hasn't been snatched up yet."
