History: According to Montgomery County property records, the parcel's last sale date was Oct. 18, 1996. CVS Pharmacy Inc., is listed as the lessee. The store closed in February 2011 and relocated to a larger space in Warminster. 

The Challenge: Hatboro Main Street Manager Stephen Barth said that of the borough's nearly two dozen vacancies, this property is his "most challenging." "CVS had a long-term lease on the property and there's still one-and-a-half years on the lease. There's really no motivation for them." 

Interest: Representatives from a children's retail outlet, an antique store and an Aaron's rent-to-own store all looked at the property.

Potential: A supermarket would be ideal, Barth said, adding that the existing structure lacks a loading dock in the back, which could be problematic for deliveries.
