Taqueria Feliz Opening in Horsham

The locally owned Mexican restaurant chain is opening a location within The Elements Horsham.

Green balloons dotted the area around the largest building within The Elements Horsham on Thursday afternoon.

Inside the newly constructed, 15,000-square-foot, yet-to-be-occupied building, developer Mark Korman rubbed elbows with local officials, celebrating the completion of "several million dollars in renovations" at the center.

He also shared that the long-awaited "higher end" restaurant that he's been promising since February is finally moving to fruition.

Korman told Patch afterward that he came to terms with the Feliz Restaurant Group. As such, the newest tenants at The Elements Horsham will be opening their second Taqueria Feliz in suite F of the plaza, which is located at 303 Horsham Road.

The 4,300-square-foot Mexican eatery would be situated above Subway, in the place previously occupied by an Italian restaurant. Besides the Horsham location–which Korman said will open in the second quarter of 2014–the company runs Cantina Feliz in Fort Washington, La Calaca in the Fairmont neighborhood of downtown Philadelphia and the upcoming Taqueria Feliz set to open soon in Manayunk

"We have other deals pending as well, but we're hoping now that we're finished our major construction that we can attract even more high quality retail partners like Feliz and Starbucks," Korman said. "It's exciting to watch the transformation not only of the buildings and grounds, but of the businesses moving into the Elements."
