Starbucks Opening in Horsham

Following several nearby coffeehouse closings, will a new Starbucks thrive in Horsham?

Fancy coffee and tea drinkers will have something to sip to soon as a new Starbucks is coming to Horsham.

According to a sign posted at the Elements Horsham, where major construction has been underway for some time, a Starbucks will be opening at the Horsham Road plaza soon.

Mark Korman, Korman Communities' commercial division president told Patch in February that a coffeehouse was one of several additions planned for the Elements Horsham.

The Starbucks location is about a mile and a half away from the Seattle’s Best Coffee that closed its doors in February 2011 on Privet Road in Horsham, where Bryn and Dane’s has since opened. Seattle’s Best Coffee is owned by Starbucks.

The site of the new coffee shop is about two miles away from the Starbucks that had been open on Easton Road in Willow Grove until its closure a few years ago.

Maine Star Coffee, which had been open for about four months earlier this year, closed, in part, because it was selling half of the 200 cups of coffee per day needed to make ends meet.

Most recently, Horsham Donuts, which opened in the Boxwood Shopping Center at the end of May–right across the street from the future Starbucks at 316 Horsham Road–entered the coffee and pastry business.
