Quig's Pizza Reopens Today

The family-owned eatery has been closed since late August following devastating flood damage in the wake of Hurricane Irene.

Sure, pizzas are made with dough, sauce, cheese and toppings. But, at the Quigley family's restaurant - Quig's Pizza - perseverance, hard work and almost phoenix-like qualities are imminent before pie even hits oven.

That's because the family's 4-year-old borough business is making a comeback today after being nearly washed away during and the subsequent . The family, after enduring three floods at the south end of town, have relocated to the former Dunkin' Donuts property on North York Road in Hatboro. 

The Quigleys have spent the last several months readying the building, and, after passing a health inspection on Wednesday, are set to open beginning with lunch today, according to Hatboro Main Street Manager Stephen Barth.

"They’ve taken a long road," Barth said.

Meanwhile, the , located at 332 S. York Road, adjacent to the Pennypack Creek, has been remodeled and a sign in the front notes that it is available for rent.
