New Hatboro Pizzeria to Open Monday

Amy's Family Pizzeria will open at the former Manja Pizza.

Good-bye Manja, hello Amy's.

A month after Manja Pizza closed its doors at the flood-prone 332 S. York Road location, a new owner is again looking to make dough–as well as other Italian specialties–at the Hatboro eatery site.

Amy's Family Pizzeria is slated to open Monday, according to signs posted on the building, as well as confirmation from Pete Mavroudis, a friend of restaurant owner Axel Flores, of Bensalem.

Mavroudis said the new eat-in and take-out restaurant will specialize in Italian dinners, "Italian style pizza" and "fine dinners delivered to your home."

"Everything is going to be prepped on location fresh," Mavroudis said. "We have all kinds of gourmet pizzas."

The shop's cheesesteaks, sure to be another signature item, will be made with a half pound of meat, he said.

Help wanted signs posted on the building were successful in generating an interested pool of candidates, Mavroudis told Patch. To start, Amy's will employ five, he said.

Amy's Family Pizzeria will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
