John Deere Dealership Nearing Completion

The John Deere dealership planned for the former Jarrett Dodge could be open in a few weeks.

Good-bye Dodge cars and trucks. Hello John Deere tractors, lawnmowers and Gator utility vehicles.

In a matter of weeks, the green-and-yellow vehicles synonymous with hefty jobs could line the 335 S. York Road property previously occupied by the third-generation I.M. Jarrett and Son dealership.

Owner David Little said he hopes to open by month's end, but said the construction could continue a bit longer, delaying the dealership's opening until early August.

Little spent $1.5 million to acquire the property back in May and intends to spend more than $500,000 renovating it.

Besides the Hatboro location, Little and his family own a dealership in Zieglerville, a sales center in Pottstown and its newest location, which opened in 2010 in Downingtown.
