International Company Acquires Horsham Medical Communications Biz

Publicis Healthcare Communications Group acquired Horsham-based Verilogue.

A Horsham-based communications health care company, which last year ranked as the top business locally among the nation's 5,000 fastest-growing companies, can potentially broaden its reach under new ownership.

Verilogue, a health care analytics company founded in 2006, which employs 31 people locally, was purchased by Publicis Groupe, an international health care communications company.

The Horsham company's workers, while part of Publicis Healthcare Communications Group's 60,000 professionals, will continue to be led by CEO and Verilogue co-founder Jeff Kozloff, according to a press release. The company will maintain its name and headquarters on Welsh Road in Horsham.

As part of the transaction, Verilogue's primary investor, Edison Venture Fund, will exit the company, according to the release.

"The greatest advances in healthcare delivery over the next decade will be driven by evidence-based solutions delivered at various points-of-care. Aligning ourselves with (Publicis Healthcare Communications Group's) market-leading agencies and impressive talent and resources allows us to enter a new chapter," Kozloff said in the release. "We will be able to immediately expand our global presence and transform our insights engine into solutions, driving client value through improved customer experiences."

Jean-Yves Naouri, COO of Publicis Groupe, said the company continues to "seek opportunities in innovative technologies" related to medical communications.

"Verilogue's unique specialty in using technology to provide insights on conversations between physicians and patients represents the future direction of healthcare and enhances (Publicis Healthcare Communications Group's)
competitive advantage and leadership in this space," Naouri said in the release.
