Gas Prices Jump nearly 20 Cents in a Week

Find the cheapest gas in Hatboro and Horsham.

The average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Bucks and Montgomery spiked 17.8 cents since last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

That increase since last Monday is the most dramatic one-week spike in nearly two years, the report states.  The price surge was largely the result of higher crude oil prices and the “rubber-banding” of midcontinent retail gasoline prices, which fell dramatically to end the year and are now swinging back up.

Locally, the price per gallon average is $3.670. The national average went up 16.9 cents  from a week ago to $3.533 and the Pennsylvania average increased 13.7 cents to $3.670.

Nearby, the cheapest price for regular is $3.64 at the Sunoco in Hatboro and Wawa, 1510 Easton Road in Horsham.

Of course they went up... the election is over... Oh... and Bush, Cheyney and all those nasty "oil men" have been gone for over 4 years.... What's the excuse now...? Gasoline was under $2 a gallon when Barry was elected the first time. Prices have risen ever since and he hasn't lifted a finger or even uttered a syllable of protest toward stemming the rise... That Hope & Change is really moving Forward....

I think that we need to do something about this. If we could only throw the people out of office who are in our local government, like Allyson Schwartz and Bob Casey, and stop them from getting rich from all of the lobbyist that support their liberal agenda, maybe us regular Joes will get a break.

When Bush took office in 2001, gas was $1.60 a gallon. It rose to the all time record high of $4.40 gallon in July 2008. Gas prices went up 275% during Bush's 8 years in office. Choke on it Obama Bashers!

Really? All of them are ruining this country as we knew it.It will never be the same. Big government doling out $$$$$ to who they feel like. I hope you wake up, you seem pretty naive. I do not think it is a coincidence that after all of them took office in January gas prices skyrocketed. Shame on you and all of them.
