Bryn and Dane's to Open 'Kitchen and Cafe'

Healthy fast food eatery Bryn and Dane's will open a second food establishment in Horsham on Thursday.

Beginning Thursday, people seeking "healthy fast food" from Bryn and Dane's will have a second spot in Horsham to get it.

Bryn Davis, the Horsham-based restaurant's owner and founder, is expanding his culinary horizons by leasing out the former Cafe 400 within Horsham Athletic Club.

Davis told Patch that the new location, at 400 Horsham Road, will follow a "two prong approach," which will free him and his employees up to take on more large corporate catering gigs than his existing "super, super, super busy" restaurant currently allows.

"We’ve had a huge calling for catering," Davis said.

Besides that, Davis said the new Bryn and Dane's Kitchen and Cafe will double as a space for staff to return to making homemade dressings and sauces for the eatery's line of wraps and salads.

"We’ll now be doing all our items from scratch there," Davis said. "The core menu’s going to be all the normal Bryn and Dane’s stuff."

But, unlike the smoothies, popcorn and sweet potato fries offered at the main Bryn and Dane's location, at 400 Privet Road, Davis said the new kitchen and cafe will be the spot to "test out new products" and offer daily specials.

Horsham Athletic Club President Doug Steinly said he had been in discussion for about a month with Davis regarding the possibility of Bryn and Dane's taking over the cafe, which had been open to members and the general public until about a week ago.

"Things were going well," Steinly said of the recently closed Cafe 400. "We know he has a strong following in the Horhsam area. A lot of people are looking for healthy alternatives."

Steinly said it made sense to "join forces" in an effort to promote "health and wellness."
