Beneficial Bank Plans Advance
A Beneficial Mutual Savings Bank is expected to open by spring in Horsham Township.
An 1,800-square-foot bank is expected to open at a busy Horsham intersection this spring.
Beneficial Mutual Savings Bank received the go-ahead this week from the Horsham Zoning Hearing Board to install four directional signs at the site, which is located at 901 Limekiln Pike where it intersects with Welsh Road.
Horsham Township Manager Bill Walker told Patch previously that the bank intended to be open by March.
The bank project and accompanying $800,000 in traffic and aesthetic improvements–including a "Welcome to Horsham" sign–for the heavily trafficked intersection were approved by the Horsham Township Council in June 2012.
However, site clearing and construction did not get underway until fall 2013.
