4. Speaking of romance/historical fiction authors (a fairly uncommon genre, no?) Mark Hubman melds his love of the Civil War with all things romantic in his debut book, “Dearest Issabella.”

5. And who could forget , whose touching tribute to his mother, Shirley via “My Million Dollar Mom,” is causing a stir locally. Schriftman will sign copies of the biography at the Dresher Shop N Bag on Dec. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon.
