Dorm Sweet Dorm - Don't Forget the Tool Box

When packing for college, don't forget the tool box. Here's a list of basic items your students will be grateful to have on move-in day and all year long!

So your kid is off to college, and you have worked hard to give them all the tools for success - laptop, iPhone, textbooks. But, you may have forgotten a basic necessity - a tool box. We teach our kids lots of life skills - how to drive, balance a check book, cook up a simple meal - but what about the DIY skills?

As you are unpacking and setting up that spacious nook called a dorm room, recall the Boy Scout motto. Be prepared. I'd have to guess that you have not raised a junior McGyver, so arm your sons and daughters with a simple set of tools. They may be the most popular kids on their hall when they have the gadgets everybody needs.

I suggest you head to Home Depot, my fav, and gather up the following basics.  You don't have to invest in the top of the line, but skip the dollar store quality tools. You want them to last all four years!
