Local Singer Wows Judges on 'The Voice'

Matthew Schuler blew the audience away with his version of 'Cough Syrup' during Monday night's broadcast of 'The Voice.'

It took about as long as it takes to read this sentence for all four judges on NBC's The Voice to swivel their chairs Monday night and marvel at the pure talent of Matthew Schuler, a graduate of Pennsbury High School in Bucks County.

The entire audience leapt to their feet as Schuler finished off a rendition of Young the Giant's "Cough Syrup" that had judges Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine climbing their chairs.

All four judges, including Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton, begged the 20-year-old to pick one of their teams, with Schuler ultimately going with Aguilera.

Schuler will spend the rest of the season battling through the rest of the singers, in the hope of coming out on top. Judging by Monday night's reaction, he has the potential to make it deep into the competition. You can keep up with Schuler on his Facebook page.

The Voice airs on NBC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. during the blind auditions.
