Why go: Children in kindergarten through fifth-grade are invited to read to therapy dog volunteers. These pooches love to hear children read aloud to them. It’s a great confidence builder for reluctant readers.

Where/when: Morgan Stanley Fourth Floor Office in the Wells Fargo Building at 4259 West Swamp Road (Route 313) in Doylestown, Friday at 6 p.m.

Why go: Come and meet with other area Vietnam Veterans. Learn about benefits both Federal and State as well as other PA legislation for Veterans.  The VFW Post Service Officer will be available to help you with any concerns.

Where/when: , 1005 Cathedral Road, Huntingdon Valley, Saturday at 10 a.m.

Why go: Go old school – REALLY old school – with this fun event.

Cost: Free, but please bring your own basket

Where/when: , 375 W Court St, Doylestown, Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.

Why go: Did you know “Oh what a beautiful morning” was written in Doylestown? Neat!
