"The Battle of Crooked Billet"

Horsham Township Library will screen the new locally produced documentary film “The Battle of the Crooked Billet” on Tuesday, May 24 at 7 PM. A question and answer session with the film’s writers and producers will follow the movie. Copies of the DVD will be available for sale. Produced by Arrival Video Productions of Southampton, Pennsylvania, the film is based on the writings of Revolutionary War General William W. H. Davis, and contemporary local historians Charles Harper Smith and Denis Cooke.

The film tells the story of a Revolutionary War skirmish that took place May 1, 1778 in the town of “The Billet” (which became the borough of Hatboro) and the area around Warminster in Bucks County
