Hatboro Library community shred

The Union Library Hatboro will host the second annual Community Shred Event on Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is in conjunction with the library’s Bazaar and Book Sale.

The shred event will be located in the rear parking lot of Hatboro Federal Savings, 221 South York Road, Hatboro. The entrance for the shred will be from Rorer Avenue.  

Additional public parking is available behind Burdick’s News Agency, 206 South York Road, located across the street from the Sunoco station.

ALL-SHRED Company of Moscow, Pa., will shred and recycle documents. This company is insured, bonded, NAID, HITECH, and FACTS compliant. Uniformed ALL-SHRED personnel will assist with shredding.

Personal papers of any color are acceptable for shredding.  Staples and paper clips can be shredded. Items not acceptable are accordion files, heavy black metal spring clips, plastic, plastic bags, three-ring binders, newspapers and telephone books. There is a three box (copier paper size) or bag limit per person. All participants will receive a free hot dog and a ‘Buy 1 Book, Get 1 Free’ coupon for use at the library’s Bazaar and Book Sale.

The rain date for the Bazaar, Book Sale and Shred Event is Sept. 17. The Union Library Company of Hatboro is located at 243 South York Road. For more information, call 215-672-1420.
