The Village Players of Hatboro announce a special night of contemporary music, “Bare: Musically Stripped – Artistically Revealed”. The show premieres on Friday, August 19th at 8:00 p.m. The theater is located at 401 Jefferson Avenue in Hatboro. For information, call the box office at 215-675-6774. The evening will feature local musicians and singers performing popular songs of the past 40 years including rock, soul and country. The accompaniment will be minimal to allow the spirit of the song to shine. The show will also spotlight some original compositions from local singer/songwriters. “Bare” stars Alexis Newbauer, Jacki Green, Dave Abramson, Brian Richichi, Katie Marsteller, Bill Baugher, John Brasch, Fran Carroll, Angie Schlauch, Sam Tomasi and Tom Settafratti.

Directing “Bare” is Alexis Newbauer from past productions as “Earth and Sky” and “Out of Order”. The assistant director is Jacki Green who directed last season’s “Victoria’s House”.
“Bare”, opens on Friday, August 19th, 2011 with an 8:00 p.m. curtain. Doors open 30 minutes before show time. Tickets are $10. There is a second performance the next night, Saturday, August 20th.
