Volunteers Needed for Horsham Day

Can you lend a hand at Horsham Day on Saturday?

It takes hundreds of helping hands to safely park Horsham Day attendees, handle traffic control and carry out other behind-the-scenes planning activities.

And with this year's event only days away, Volunteer Coordinator Kathy Dick is short about 25 pairs of hands.

"This is my first year organizing the volunteers and I'm starting to get a little nervous about the lack of people volunteering their time," Dick said.

Volunteers are needed particularly for the 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. time frame on Saturday, Dick said. Shifts can range from one hour to six hours and those who help out receive a volunteer T-shirt, free, convenient parking and a free lunch voucher, according to Dick.

Helpers are needed in the volunteer tent, in the parking lots and "just general help," she said.
