5K RUN/WALK 

Where/when: Samuel Carpenter Park, 1000 Horsham Road, Horsham, on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Why go: Proceeds from Hatboro-Horsham High School’s Club Wave run/walk will benefit National Eating Disorder Awareness.

RECYCLE DAY

Where/when: Hatboro Federal Savings, 221 S. York Road, Hatboro, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why go: Shred personal papers, drop off shoes/sneakers, and eyeglasses to be donated to those less fortunate. Bring worn, soiled or damaged U.S. flags to be properly disposed by the American Legion Post 798 of Hatboro.

SHREDDING EVENT

Where/when: Dreshertowne Homes, 310 Sawmill Lane, Horsham, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why go: Bring your confidential paper documents to be shredded.

Cost: Free

SECOND SATURDAY HATBORO

Where/when: Downtown Hatboro, Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy live entertainment, arts, music and Second Saturday special sales at participating merchants along the borough’s York Road shopping district.

Cost: Free

TRILOGY EVENT DESIGN OPEN HOUSE

Where/when: Trilogy Event Design, 124 N. York Road, Hatboro, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
