New Gateway to One of Region's Biggest Historical Landmarks

Workers are putting a fresh face on the Valley Forge National Historical Park Visitors Center.

By Bob Byrne

Construction crews are creating a new gateway to history in Valley Forge National Historical Park. According to a posting by the park on Facebook, here's how the entrance to the Visitor Center is looking.

"So far just about all of the old brick has been removed and the contractors are getting ready to pour concrete," according to the post. "This entrance will be temporarily closed as the concrete is poured and cures, but the upper doors will remain open with stairway access to the main level."
