Hatboro Parade to Detour Traffic

York Road will be closed prior to and during Hatboro's Holiday Parade on Sunday.

If you're planning a trip to Hatboro Sunday afternoon - whether or not you're planning to attend the holiday parade - travel along York Road will not be an option.

Road closures

Beginning at about 12:30 p.m. and continuing until about 4:30 p.m., York Road will be closed, according to Hatboro Police Chief James Gardner. In addition, cross traffic will be prohibited during the event, which runs from 2 p.m. until about 4 p.m., he said.

Restricted parking

Parking will be restricted along York Road on Sunday. Crescent Road and Norwyn Road will be closed and will be have no parking signs posted to assist with parade unit staging. Parking will also be restricted on Home Road.  Residents who reside along North York Road between County Line Road and Summit Avenue will have the ability to ingress and egress during the parade.

Parade staging/route

This year’s parade will be staging in the north end of Hatboro, along the North York Road corridor, and will proceed south on York Road. This is the opposite route from previous years and was changed so parade participants would not have to march uphill, organizers said.
