Get Out Weekend Planner

Garage sales, a carnival, and Memorial Day festivities.

If you aren’t headed to the Jersey Shore to start off summer, there are lots of things to do this weekend aside from pool parties and backyard BBQs. We've gathered some of our favorites here to keep you busy and local this Memorial Day weekend.

You can kick off the weekend with a carnival, a plant and garage sale, and finish off with Memorial Day services to celebrate and remember our troops.

Where/When: South York Road and Horsham Road, Hatboro, Friday from 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m.

Why Go: Start the season the old fashioned way - with funnel cake and a carnival. 

Pricing: $2 for adults, $1 students, ages 12 and under, military, police, EMS are free. Get directions and entertainment program.

Memorial Day Cookout 

Where/When: , Monday from 1:30 p.m.

Why Go: Nothing says summer like hot dogs grilled en masse. 

Pricing: The Y provides the dogs; bring your winning potato salad or favorite appetizer to share with the crowd. 

Plant and garage sale 

Where/When: 470 Lincoln Ave., Hatboro, Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. 

Why Go: Hanging baskets, perennials, and herbs, oh, my! Stock your garden and then browse the garage sale for local treasures. 

Pricing: Tomato plants are $2, herb baskets are $4. For $6 you can have caprese salad all summer. 

Memorial Day Veterans Commemoration

Where/When: Willow Grove Park, Monday at 10 a.m. 

Why Go: Before you fire up the grill, be sure to come out to celebrate and remember our vets. 

Pricing: Free.

Warminster Memorial Day Parade 

Where/When: , Monday at 10 a.m. 

Why Go: Nothing says Memorial Day like a parade, which starts at the township building and ends at the VFW Post on Louis Drive.
