Easter Bunny to Hop Into Horsham, Hatboro

Horsham's Easter egg hunt and bunny visit is slated for March 23 and Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church's bunny breakfast and egg hunt will follow on March 30.

Within minutes, 500 kids scrambling to find plastic, colorful eggs leave no grass blade unturned to successfully round up more than 3,000 filled treasures that dot Deep Meadow Park for Horsham's annual hunt.

This year, will be much the same, according to Horsham Township Park and Recreation Director Mark Hudson.

Practically before one could blink an eye, the kids–ranging in age from babies up to age 8–will descend on the fields to find the eggs.

"The egg hunt itself is very quick," Hudson said.

And a lucky child from each of the age groups (0-2; 3-4; 5-6; and 7-8) will round up a special prize. In previous years, the township hid a golden egg, but Hudson said that was too easy to spot.

"We do a plastic egg that has a special message on it so that people can’t pick it out ahead of time," he said.
