Crafts, Breast Cancer Benefits, Plants, More

Hatboro and Horsham are brimming with fun activities this weekend.

It's Mother's Day weekend and there's lots to do, from breast cancer fundraisers, book fairs and plant sales to crafts and more. Here are some options:

HORSHAM MOTHER'S DAY WALK

Where/when: Deep Meadow Park, 1020 Horsham Road, Horsham, Sunday beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Why go: All proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Cost: Whatever you choose to donate.

GARDENERS OF CROOKED BILLET PLANT SALE

Where/when: Union Library of Hatboro, 243 S. York Road, Hatboro, Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Why go: Check out the club's selection of perennials and hypertufa pots and much more. Club members are available  to answer gardening questions.

Cost: Depends on what you buy.

CONSIGNMENT BOUTIQUE BREAST CANCER FUNDRAISER

Where/when: Horsham Exchange Consignment Boutique, 242 Easton Road, Horsham, Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Why go: Shop for the latest in Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Coach, Phillies gear for the family and many designer sunglasses as part of this "A Seed of Hope" breast cancer research and awareness fundraiser. 

Cost: Free admission, depends on what you buy.

MAY FAIR AND BOOK SALE

Where/when: Union Library of Hatboro, 243 S. York Road, Hatboro, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Why go: Benefit the library by buying books at the annual sale. Other features include a craft fair, food, moonbounce and entertainment.

Cost: Free to go; depends on what you buy.

CRAFTS IN THE BARN

Where/when: 4130 Thistlewood Road, Hatboro, Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Why go: This semi-annual craft show features more than 75 crafters and artists selling their wares in a 200-year-old barn.

Cost: Free to go; depends on what you buy.

SECOND SATURDAY HATBORO

Where/when: York Road in Hatboro's downtown shopping district, Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. 

Why go: Merchants offer specials, showcase live entertainment and crafters display their goods.

Cost: Free to browse.
