Considering a Day Trip to Sesame Place?

Here's an insider's look at what you need to know about special events, best times for rides and dining at the theme park.

A visit to Sesame Place is always a fun experience, but if you follow these tips, you can make a great day even better.

1. For the best place to see the parade, aim to be in the middle of the parade route between the Plaza and the Neighborhood Street (“where the black meets the blue.”)

2. A good time to visit the Bucks County theme park's restaurants is either during the parade or between 11 a.m. and noon.

3. You can always find a Sesame Street character at “1-2-3 Smile with Me!”

4. Lockers and strollers can be rented at the park. Strollers and wheelchairs can be reserved online. Be sure and make a reservation if you hope to rent one.

5. Be sure to bring a change of clothes and a towel. Swimwear is required for water activities. (That means a swim diaper for little ones)

6. Ride Vapor Trail or Elmo’s World rides during the parade when they’re less crowded.

7. Arrive at the theaters 15 minutes before the scheduled start of a show time.

8. Check the back of the park map for daily show times and specials.

9. Buy your ticket online before you arrive at the park to save time.

10. Rent a private cabana near The Count's Splash Castle. Cabanas include private seating for up to six people, a ceiling fan and mini refrigerator, and a locked cabinet for personal belongings.

11. Check out the group rates (for a minimum of 15 guests).

12. Check out Nets ‘n’ Climbs for some really adventurous climbing experiences.

13. Big Bird’s Rambling River is a great place for parents to enjoy a relaxing water ride and cool off.

14. A season pass allows you to attend all the special events that Sesame has to offer, including The Count’s Spooktacular in October.

15. Most importantly, don’t forget your camera!
