Community Joins in National Night Out

Hundreds of community members filled the parking lot of the Horsham Township complex Tuesday evening as police, fire and other first responders shared tips on staying safe and informal meet and greets with residents.

Horsham police offered child finger print and identification kits and Horsham Fire Co. representatives demonstrated unsafe aspects of a model home.

Businesses, as well as law enforcement agencies exhibited inside the Horsham Township Community Center, in many instances giving away items.

The car show, a new feature this year, drew more than 40 sport and specialty cars to the parking lot.

Sponsored by Speed Raceway, four of the participants will be awarded trophies. Meredith Baker, while manning a booth for Speed Raceway, said she was "very impressed with the turnout" for the car show.
