Car Show to Cause Road Closures

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce's 21st annual Moonlight Memories Car Show will be held Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hot rods, motorcycles, old-fashioned rides and hundreds of show-quality cars and trucks will roll into Hatboro Saturday.

In all, 500 to 600 cars are expected to line York Road from Lehman Avenue to Summit Avenue as part of the 21st annual Moonlight Memories Car Show.

Last year, 400 cars and trucks were on display. The car show, which runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, draws upwards of 75,000 to 100,000 spectators, according to the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce, the group that presents the show.

With York Road essentially morphing into a parking lot Saturday, Hatboro Police will be closing the road to traffic beginning at about 12:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. that night, according to Police Chief James Gardner.

York Road will be closed between County Line and Horsham Road and cross traffic will be permitted at Montgomery Avenue, Moreland Avenue and Lehman Avenue, according to Gardner.

In addition, temporary no parking restrictions will be posted the day of the event, he said.
