Bat Tests Positive for Rabies in Horsham
The infected mammal was found in the 100 block of Crestview Road.
Horsham officials are asking anyone who may have had contact with a bat or stray animal to seek medical attention after a rabid bat was found in the township Tuesday.
According to an announcement posted on the township's Web site, the infected bat was located in the 100 block of Crestview Road.
Anyone that has been bitten, scratched or had saliva exposure from a bat is urged to receive medical treatment to prevent the fatal viral infection. Click here for more information on symptoms, signs and treatments.
