Hatboro-Horsham Senior Earns Eagle Rank

Taylor T. Lauer proudly accepted the Eagle Challenge from his close Scouting friend Jason Graf. Boy Scouts, Scouters, friends and family of Taylor gathered at the Hatboro Baptist Church Monday evening to witness Taylor's  elevation to the rank of Eagle Scout presented by the Scoutmaster of Hatboro Troop 3, Stuart Gentry. Eagle is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. Taylor joined Hatboro Troop 3 March 29, 2007. He has served as Patrol Leader and Librarian twice. He is a Leader in VT3. As a Cub Scout Taylor achieved the Arrow of Light Award. He also has been awarded the Ad Altare Dei Roman Catholic Religious Award. He is an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow and has completed National Youth Leadership Training (Silver Stag). Taylor has camped at Camp Daniel Boone, NC; Mount Norris Scout Reservation, VT, Chesapeake Bay Sailing High Adventure, MD; Philmont Scout Ranch, NM.  He is recognized as a Boy Scout Life Guard and serves on the Aquatics Camp Staff at the Resica Falls Scout Reservation.

Taylor is a Senior at Hatboro-Horsham High School where he is a member of the Tennis Team. He has served on their stage crew for four years.. He has been VP and President of the Comic Book Club. He will be attending LaSalle University in the Fall of 2014 where he is a recipient of the LaSalle Founder's Scholarship.
