Fifth-grade students Christian Bardsley and Sarah Pettineo were rewarded for their leadership and hard work throughout their primary education.
Crooked Billet Elementary School fifth grade students Christian Bardsley and Sarah Pettineo were rewarded for their leadership and hard work throughout their primary education during the promotion ceremony June 6. They were selected by State Rep. Tom Murt as the recipients for the 2014 Citizenship Awards, which is annually given to two students in Crooked Billet.
“Sarah and Christian exemplify good citizenship,” teacher Tiffany Hood said. “They are mature, responsible, kind students who are role models for their peers.”
During the promotion ceremony, students in fifth grade celebrate their advancement to Keith Valley Middle School and completion of their primary education. This year, the school welcomed Murt and Assistant Superintendent Monica Taylor, former Crooked Billet principal, as their special guests.
