Community Corner

15th Annual Relay for Life is June 13

Relay For Life is a community based event that raises money for the American Cancer Society.

The Relay For Life team of Eastern Montgomery County is excited to present our 15th annual event on June 13th at Hatboro-Horsham High School.  Relay For Life is a community based event that raises money for the American Cancer Society.  The Eastern Montgomery County team not only raises money to defeat cancer, but team members often volunteer their time at Hope Lodge at Fox Chase Cancer Center, which provides free housing to those patients receiving cancer treatments.

Relay For Life culminates in a 24-hour walk on June 13th, highlighted by a survivor walk, luminaria remembrance ceremony, and keynote speakers.  Participants form teams to raise money, spread cancer awareness, and spend time walking in honor, or remembrance of those who are fighting cancer or who have lost the battle.  Teams are encouraged to take turns walking for 24 hours to signify that it takes a team to fight cancer.

Community members are still invited to sign up or form their own team at www.relayforlife.org/paemc.  If you are interested in sponsoring our event or have any further questions, please contact Craig Draper at cdraper21@comcast.net
