HatOberFest Celebrations Continue Through October 31st
The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce (www.hatborochamber.org) month-long HatOberFest events continue this month with Hatboro's Second Saturday on October 12th featuring a Fire Prevention Week Open House at the Enterprise Fire Company, 38 Byberry Rd., from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The reading of the Fire Prevention Week Proclamation will be at 11 a.m. Following the Enterprise open house cruise over to enjoy Pumpkin Painting offered by KP Kitchen Crafts at 222 S. York Rd., from 1 p.m. through 3 p.m.
On Tuesday, October 15th, The Greater Hatboro Chamber will host "Business & Community Networking" from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Union Library of Hatboro, 250 S. York Rd.
The Hatboro YMCA, located at 243 S. York Rd., will host a Youth Exercise & Family Yoga Open House on Saturday, October 19th. KP Kitchen Crafts will host a "Pick an Apple" Contest, and the 3rd Annual Haunted Photo Scavenger Hunt will be begin in Miller Meadow at York and Horsham Rds. at 6 p.m..

During the last week of HatOberFest, the Hatboro YMCA will hold the Skeleton Skurry on Saturday, October 26th, the Union Library will offer Scary Halloween Story Time. The Hatboro Halloween Stroll with "trick or treating" in Hatboro's downtown business district will also take place on the 26th.
HatOberFest will feature "Restaurant Pizza Specials" from October 27th through the 31st with many borough eateries offering savory seasonal pizzas.

The Community Food Drive will run through October 31st to collect 1000 lbs. of non-perishable food items to benefit the Lehman Methodist Church and St. John's Lutheran Church food pantries. Collection sites include the Hatboro chamber office at 120 S. York Rd.; Hatboro Federal Savings, at 221 S. York Rd.; KP Kitchen Crafts at 222 S. York Rd.; and Hatboro Dish restaurant at 102 S. York Rd.
The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce hosts special and annual events to support area businesses, both large and small, including the Holiday Parade and Moonlight Memories Car Show. Hatboro will celebrate its 300th Birthday in 2015.
