Hatboro-Horsham Students to Exhibit Art Work at Local Gallery, Opening Reception March 28

Hatboro-Horsham School District invites the public to join in the celebration of student creativity when the Kathy Davis Studio, Scatter Joy Gallery hosts the “Best of HH” Art Exhibit. Community members are welcomed to see the range of art by 45 different students throughout the district.

On March 28 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., the student artists from all grades in the Hatboro-Horsham School District will celebrate their hard work and dedication with the community at the Opening Reception. The public is invited to talk with the artists and admire the many forms of art, including drawing, painting, photography, pottery, jewelry-making and mixed-media. In addition to meeting the student artists and seeing their work, visitors can contribute to Hatboro-Horsham Art Department, since the gallery store will donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds.

“We want the community to see the talented students we have here and to highlight what an exceptional art program there is in the Hatboro-Horsham School District,” exhibit organizer Lori Gallagher said. “I also think it’s a great chance to expose our students to Kathy Davis. She is a successful business woman who has made her love for art into a prosperous career. It’s a great way to promote artistic careers to our students.”

This is the second year the district has been able to host an art exhibit. Last year, Hatboro-Horsham High School students dazzled visitors with amazing artwork. This year, art work by students in grades kindergarten to 12th will delight visitors.

“We have everything from adorable kindergarten art to exceptional high school work,” Gallagher said. “It’s a wide range of style and form.”

“It’s great to see student artwork in a professional setting,” studio Vice President of Administration Bill Lessa said. “This is a unique opportunity for students to share their artwork with the community. They can come in with their parents and other family members to show off their work. For us, this is a great opportunity to give back to the kids in our community.”

The exhibit will be open from the March 28 through April 23 during studio hours, Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
