New Assistant Principal Appointed at Keith Valley Middle School

The school board approved hiring Brea D'Angelo at its meeting on June 16.

Hatboro-Horsham School District will welcome Brea D’Angelo as the new Keith Valley Middle School Assistant Principal. The school board approved hiring D’Angelo at its meeting on June 16.

Ms. D’Angelo, of Willow Grove, comes to Hatboro-Horsham with extensive experience in Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtII). RtII is a proactive, tiered program that encourages individualized learning by assessing students and providing support to them at all achievement levels. This program enables  students who are in need to get the immediate assistance,  as well as enhances the learning for  students who are proficient and advance.

As Assistant Principal, she will be utilizing her skills and experiences to continue to build and extend the RtII program that has  been implemented.

“Brea is completely student centered, and her experiences made her stand out from the crowd,” Keith Valley Principal Jonathan Kircher said. “She will help us improve our ability for students to succeed not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.”

Ms. D’Angelo worked in the Lower Moreland School District for seven years. Most recently she served as the English and Broadcasting teacher and lead Teacher of Technology at Lower Moreland High School. She also served as the Murray Avenue School middle school interim principal for the 2010-11 school year.

Ms. D’Angelo holds a bachelor’s degree from Rider University in Communication. She also obtained two master’s degrees, one in Special Education from Arcadia University, and the other in Educational Leadership from the California University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Special Education K-12 Certification from Arcadia University and a Principal K-12 Certification from the California University of Pennsylvania.
