No Personal Notifications from Horsham Water & Sewer Authority

The Horsham Water and Sewer Authority did not notify homeowners prior to sewer line cleaning.

Yesterday, the township cleaned the sewer line on my street, Pheasant Run. The cleaning resulted in water shooting out of my toilet in the main floor bathroom and getting everywhere.

I spoke to the Horsham Water and Sewer Authority today and asked why I didn't receive any type of notice. I recently moved to the township in July and was not aware of the cleaning and possible issues. They said that they don't mail out personal notification letters or make personal phone calls to notify residents.

They post it on their Web site and broadcast it on the local news channel (22). My concern is that for new residents such as myself or for residents such as elderly that don't have internet or watch the local channel, how are we supposed to know?

I am asking and requesting that there be a better way to notify residents. Otherwise, it will result in unnecessary cleanup by residents and possibly worse results depending on the property.
