Wedding Day Beauty Tips

(Originally posted at Always Fabulous Events)

Natural beauty like our recent bride, Maureen (shown above), is partly due to great genes and the other part is taking good care of yourself from the inside out. Let’s face it. If you live a hard life filled with sex, drugs, and rock n roll, you will probably look like Courtney Love on your wedding day.

Vitamin B brings out the shine in your hair. Include fish, nuts, and eggs to your diet. If you are allergic to these foods, then a vitamin supplement will suffice. Trim your hair regularly to get rid of damaged ends. About 4 weeks before your wedding, visit your salon for a deep conditioning treatment and a scalp massage.

Regular facial treatments at a spa are relaxing and good for your skin. Start a routine about 6 months before your wedding, but stop at least 2 weeks before the big day! If you have chronic acne or other facial skin problems, see a dermatologist at least 6 months before your wedding.

WATER… Drink plenty of water to keep your skin and hair well hydrated.

Get enough sleep… especially in the week leading up to your wedding. Nobody wants dark circles under their eyes on one of the most important days of their lives.

Avoid salt. It makes you retain water and look puffy.

Don’t wait until the last minute to get a manicure and pedicure. You need to start getting regular manis & pedis a few months before your wedding day so your skin (especially around cuticles and heels) can be at its best.
