Paint at the Library, 'Don't Be An Ostrich,' Make Your Own Cards

See what's happening in Hatboro and Horsham on Thursday.

Hatboro artist Barbara Surick will lead a watercolor painting demonstration at the Union Library of Hatboro, 243 S. York Road on Thursday at 1 p.m. Participants can paint along. Materials provided.  

Whether it's for Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, or no season at all, folks can make their own cards at Kathy Davis Gallery, 303 Horsham Road Suite E on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $35 ($25 for class registration and a $10 lab fee).

Hatboro-Horsham School District's weekly Parent Partnership features a special program, "Don't be an ostrich," on Thursday at 7 p.m. Experienced addiction counselor Debra Delp, who's appeared on the Oprah show, as well as national and local talk shows, will lead a discussion on teenage substance abuse and ways to prevent it. The event will be held at the Horsham Township Community Center, 1025 Horsham Road. 

Keith Valley Middle School's picture day is Thursday.

Blair Mill Elementary School's home and school association meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
