Hatboro-Horsham students dismiss early on Thursday, plus more of the day's happenings here.

  • Hatboro-Horsham School District students will have an early dismissal on Thursday. District staff will have an in-service day.
  • The district's anti-substance abuse initiative, Be A Part of the Conversation, will host Christopher Kennedy Lawford on Thursday at the Horsham Township Community Center, 1025 Horsham Road, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The best-selling author will speak about his journey to recovery and how to reduce stigmas. Click here for more information.
  • Lehman United Methodist Church, 300 S. York Road in Hatboro, will kickoff its rummage sale on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The sale continues through Saturday. Click here for more information.
  • Kathy Davis Gallery, 303 Horsham Road Suite E in Horsham, will host a needle felting workshop on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $35. Click here for more information.
  • Naturalistic, 126 N. York Road in Hatboro, will host a discussion on easy ways to shop, cook, eat and grow local, sustainable foods on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. After the talk, participants can sample nourishing fall foods. Click here for more information, or to register.
  • Crafts in the Barn continues through Saturday at 4130 Thistlewood Road, Hatboro. The event features more than 75 local vendors. Click here for more details. 
  • The Hatboro Democratic Committee is holding a meet the candidates event on Thursday at Cafe La Fontana, 58 S. York Road in Hatboro, at 6 p.m. Democratic candidates for Council, Mayor and School Board will be in attendance and appetizers will be served.
