Who doesn't love the pretty lights at the holidays? Trees and dooorways sparkling in white look so pretty. But if you have to rig up those lights every year, you know the job can bring out the worst in you. Twisted, knotted, broken, half-lit, ugh. Watch this video for a simple and cheap fix to organize those lights and bring some sanity to the holiday decorating and undecorating. But do it now when you are putting them away!

Good idea ... But you can buy plastic wire-holders that you can wrap string lights around at any hardware store. Of course you don't get the satisfaction of creating your own crafty-type solution. But they work great, and probably hold more lights than the cardboard creation shown here.

Thanks for taking time to comment Mike. I was opting for a cheaper, greener way to get the job done. I have seen the store bought kind too, but it is good to reduce and reuse when we can:)
