Vacancy: Former Hatboro Lighting Store

What would you like to see fill this North York Road parcel?

Tell us in the comments what you would like to see fill this vacancy.

Vacant: 211 N. York Road

Description: The building is one portion of an 11,500-square-foot structure which has been subdivided into three units.

Size: 1,400 square feet

Zoning: C (Commercial, one-story strip store, no major food, according to Montgomery County property records).

History: The building had housed a lighting store in all three of the now subdivided parcels of 207 N. York Road, 209 N. York Road and 211 N. York Road, according to Hatboro Main Street Manager Stephen Barth.

The Challenge: Common bathrooms are shared by three tenants in the rear lobby area, Barth said.

Interest: Barth said he's shown the property to retailers, restaurants, interior decorators, a garden furnishing store, insurance companies and medical offices.

Potential: The space would be perfect for a business interested in the large rear lobby entrance. A business with a large client or customer base would work well since Barth said the property offers a large rear parking lot, as well as on-street metered parking.
